Adult Boxing Program

Adult Level I Boxing -The primary goal of this Non-contact program is to condition the body and teach basic boxing skills to include footwork, movement, defensive skills and punching techniques. Members will learn proper use of equipment and gear.  NO experience is necessary to begin in this program. Indoor shoes, gloves and wraps are required.

Adult Level II Boxing-- This  Non-contact program increases the intensity of your conditioning workout challenging you to reach a higher level of fitness and introduces the next stage of boxing training to include combinations, target mitt work and ring work.  A mouthguard is recommended for this program.

Adult Level III Boxing- The primary goal of this program is to achieve and maintain a superior level of fitness and conditioning and a high level of proficiency and skill in preparation for competition.  This program will include contact drills and supervised sparring. Head gear, a mouth guard and membership to USA Boxing is required for this level of training.

 
JUNIOR BOXING PROGRAM

For ages 8 through 13. Each child is evaluated by a certified coach to ensure the child is of appropriate maturity  to participate.

Our Junior Boxing program is designed to enhance your child's ability to focus, build confidence, learn respect, discipline, control and self-defense as they become physically fit. Kids really enjoy our Junior Boxing Program because our Instructors train them just like the Pro's train, utilizing the same training methods and techniques, in a fun, safe, controlled, environment. Kids start to see and feel the benefits of Boxing right away and Parents notice a more confident, respectful, proud and happy child.  We provide three levels within the program which allows for advancement. 

Junior Level I Boxing is a non-contact, non-competitive program that focuses on increasing fitness levels and developing proper form, footwork and movement.  

Junior Level II Boxing is a non-contact, non-competitive program for those that have achieved the physical conditioning and skill level to progress and that are motivated to improve and challenge their boxing and fitness skills.

**For those interested in training to prepare for competition, they may be evaluated for admittance into the Level III Junior Boxing Program which includes contact drills and sparring.  Proper protective gear is required.

But is it safe??

 Studies have found more head injuries in sports such as ice hockey, football and rugby than in Ameteur boxing. Here we don't teach them to fight, they learn a skill.  Our emphasis is on safety, discipline and values. USA Boxing protective gear is required which includes head gear, mouth guards and padded gloves. All training is supervised by a USA boxing certified coach and the safety of the boxer is our number one goal.

 
WOMEN'S FITNESS & SELF DEFENSE

Although we don't like to think about it, violence is an unfortunate fact of life. About 31 million total crimes are reported in the United States annually. Thats about one crime per second. Victim rates of violent crimes have increased.  Without warning, a situation can turn from safe to sorry; turning you not only into a a victim , but the top news story of the day.  Most people who are victimized never imagine that crime would happen to them. It always happens to someone else.

The discipline and focus you develop while getting and staying in shape make you more alert and aware of activity in your immediate environment.  That awareness increases your responsiveness to sudden moves, odd sounds, and other "danger cues" that require decisive action.

The stronger and more fit you are, the quicker your reaction time, the more confident you are that you can react swiftly to threats--throwing a punch, aiming a kick, running away or doing whatever it takes.

With a wide range of experience and training in various areas of fitness and mixed martial arts our coaching team has worked together to create a fitness and self -defense program like no other.  By choosing the most effective techniques from several disciplines, including boxing, Muy-thai kickboxing, Krav Maga, Karate, Jui Jitsu and Kali, and combining them with physical fitness drills designed by our certified personal training and fitness coaches; we have developed a fitness and self defense program to give you the tactical and applicable street knowledge to defend yourself and achieve the strength and stamina to back it up!  

 
PERSONAL TRAINING

 

It’s hard to stay motivated, and it’s even more difficult to challenge yourself to reach higher goals. A personal trainer can put the “personal” back into your workout. Not only will your trainer devise exercises that are best suited to your fitness goals but will encourage you to work hard and get results. An added benefit or personal training is you can usually plan your sessions for a time that is convenient for you. Since you will be exercising in private, you need not worry about competing with other students, or holding them back because your fitness level is considerably higher. Your trainer will also make sure that you are performing the exercises in impeccable form. This is crucial to making progress. Your progress will be monitored and workout plan modified accordingly to help maximize your time and effort for the greatest results. CROSS TRAINING AND ATHLETIC CONDITIONING

Looking for a cross training program that Will provide intensity to challenge both the aerobic and anaerobic systems? A program that will improve overall body strength without battering muscles and joints while burning off any extra fat to help increase and maintain leanness?  

Why not Boxing?

  Here you will train like a boxer in everything but full contact sparring.  With this challenging program the musculoskeletal system becomes stronger, the cardio respiratory and vascular system becomes more efficient and the central nervous system is trained to respond quickly and more efficiently. High intensity timed rounds with short rest periods between help increase stamina and oxygen recovery. Boxing training focuses on improving speed, strength, explosiveness and lactate threshold management while burning calories to keep body fat levels low.

Weight training classes and core strength classes are also available as well as Athletic Conditioning classes which focus on increasing stregth and stamina specific to endurance sports.

JUNIOR BOXING I

  Boxing level 1

The first step in startkids_boxing_pics_016.jpging a boxing training program is to get your body into top physical condition.  Boxing requires a great deal of endurance as well as strength. The primary focus of this program is to increase physical fitness and teach boxing basics such as footwork, defensive movement and punches.  Participants will learn how to properly hit a heavy bag and target mitts, safely and efficiently utilize conditioning equipment and become comfortable in the ring.  This program is a pre-requisite of Level II.
