Frequently Asked Questions

Question:  Do I need to know how to box to take a class?

Answer:  Absolutely not.  We have different levels of classe for different levels of experience.  Level I is an entry level program that focuses on conditioning the body and learning the basics of boxing.  We will teach you what you need to know!

Question:  Will I need any special equipment or gear?

Answer:  Indoor shoes are required, boxing shoes are recommended. Gloves and wrist wraps are required for Level I and Level II programs.  Head gear and mouth guards are required for Level III competition training. 

Question:  Where are you located?

Answer:  Our address is 1A Rockingham Rd Unit 10 in Londonderry New
Hampshire.  We're right on Route 28.  The building is off the road,
behind Brother's Auto.  Please use the link at the top of this page for
driving directions.


Question:  Will I have to hit anyone or will anyone be hitting me?

Answer:  No. Level I and Level II are non-competitive programs that focus on physical conditioning, proper form, footwork and ring skills. For those interested in competing, we offer a level III program which includes supervised sparring.

Question:  What about memberships; will I have to sign a contract?

Answer:  When you become a member of In the Ring Fitness, we have several options to accommodate your budget, availability to train and your training needs one of which is a six (6) month contract.  Stop by or give us a call at 432-0800 for all the details.


Question:  Will I learn anything about self-defense?

Answer:  Self Defense  and physical conditioning are the focus in our Women's Fitness and Self Defense program.   While self defense is not the primary goal of our boxing programs you will practice the functional skills necessary to use in a self-defense situation.  Additionally, being physically fit will help you be better prepared as well as feel more confident.

 Question:  How will I know if the gym is closed due to bad weather conditions?

Answer:  Log on to www.intheringfitness.com and if the gym is closed it will appear on the front page of the website. If there is a Londonderry School Delay the 9:30 am class will be cancelled. Otherwise call 603-432-0800 and the answering machine message will indicate if we are closed due to bad weather conditions.
